How to make your joint venture stand out

Anybody can create a joint venture in today’s economic climate, and you could even say it’s the “in” thing to do in business. Joint ventures can be highly successful and provide customers with added value but, with all the JVs in business on the Internet and elsewhere, how do you make your offer stand apart from other JVs?

Creating joint ventures are a powerful way of doing business. You and your JV partner share resources, ideas, and ingenuity to make a product or service that can help market each other’s business. There are other things you can do to market your joint product or service to better your exposure.

1. Create an eBook with your JV partner.

Both you and your JV partner have a wealth of experience between you. If you were to put it all together, you could write a guide, or informative book. Whether you choose to print your book or make it available for download, one thing you must do is make sure it’s well written, but most important is that your grammar and spelling is correct. If need be hire a professional editor to make it shine. There are many self-publishing locations and software programs available that can help you can print your book for resale, or have it set up for print-on-demand.

Ebooks are easier to produce with simple layout or desktop publishing software. However, just because it is not a tangible book-in-hand doesn’t mean you need to skimp on the design. Be sure to put every effort into an eBook that you would with a printed book. This includes giving thought to the cover, title page, table of contents, graphics, photos, easy-to-read layout, etc. You could then make it available for download either for purchase or for free with a simply sign up to your mailing or member list. An ebook could even be put onto a CD giving you the option to charge extra for postage as it then becomes a physical product.

2: Create a Membership Site.

Here you would offer courses, DVD`s, CD`s, one to one training or packaged courses. Whatever you offer as content must always seem worth the fee/premium that your subscribers are paying. If the content you offer is deemed to be worthy of the fee, then your subscribers will then keep coming back and also tell their friends who in turn tell their friends and so on.
You can now see how this can very quickly build your subscriber base. If you plan this method well you can go from no-one to someone in a very short time, but by the same token, make a poor membership site and your reputation will be irrevocably ruined

3.Advertise in a Publication

Do you publish an eZine? Do you publish a newsletter? How about your JV partner? Perhaps you could find a JV partner with a regular publication that is sent out to hundreds or even thousands of customers on a mailing list. Ask to put an advertisement for your product or service in his publication and offer to share a portion of every sale made from his clients or customers, this way you get great exposure whilst having the chance to increase your own list. Don’t forget that you can do the same in your own publications for your JV partner. The beauty of this type of JV is that there is very little in the way of extra costs involved as each of you would normally be posting to your list anyway.
These types of joint ventures are the most common as they are the easiest to set up.
